THUNG LŨNG HOA VÀNG
Đã tám mùa xuân trên lũng thấp,
Âm thầm theo những bước chân qua.
Hồn tôi chừng mỏi trăm vùi lấp,
Có thấy bao giờ một dáng xưa (?)
Tôi đi giữa phố phường lưu lạc,
Thung lũng Hoa Vàng xanh bóng mây.
Bỗng gặp mùa xuân trong khóe mắt
Cô em ngơ ngác đến nơi này.
Đã mấy năm qua tôi bỏ quên
Trái tim bên dốc đá ưu phiền.
Nắng lên cho đẹp lời âu yếm,
Mỏi mắt ươm tình, say đắm thêm.
Em mang dáng dấp xưa thần thoại,
Chìm đắm trong hương sắc tuyệt vời.
Sóng tóc, tôi mơ miền luyến ái,
Xuân sang len lén giấc yêu người.
Giao thừa tôi có em yêu dấu,
Trong phút linh thiêng của đất trời.
Kỷ niệm đầu năm thành bất tử,
Mong em khỏa lấp một trùng khơi.
Xin tạ ơn em, xõa tóc huyền,
Cho tôi sống lại tuổi xuân êm.
Chợt lòng hoa nở vàng như nắng,
Thung lũng cũng hồng nhân dáng em.

THE YELLOW FLOWERS VALLEY
Multiple years had elapsed in this valley.
I silently pursued the past steps in each alley,
But tired of countless buffetings in my soul
I had never seen any figure in the old role.
While I was drifting in the Yellow Flowers Town
Under the blue sky with clouds at its crown,
Suddenly I met a whole spring in the eyes
Of a beauty wandering herein at her own guise.
For such a sad long time I had forgot and left
My heart somewhere about the steep crag’s cleft.
Now that the sun did rise beautifying the caress,
Lips & peepers sowed love, more passion to bless.
You manifest the manner of a legendary star
To drown me in the wonderful glamour by far.
On your wavy hair I dream of a loving place
In the springtime to ignite the flame of grace.
I have got you, my beloved, this new year’s eve
In the sacred hour that sky and earth conceive.
The souvenir of this prime has become immortal;
Please fill up an entire empty ocean with a chortle.
I wish to thank you, darling, for your black hair
That helps me relive my peaceful youth so fair.
My inner flowers then blossom in the amber sun,
And the valley blushes too as you do – What fun!
